Subject: An application for increasing common room facilities.
Dear Sir,
We, the students of Hons, class of your college, would like to draw your kind attention to the following fact. We have a common room but cannot provide enough recreation facilities. About 10,000 students study in this college. Most of them rush to the common room for recreation during leisure. But our common room is not spacious. It is not well decorated. Benches and chairs, electric fans and games articles are not sufficient for the huge number of students. There is only a newspaper and no magazine. Thus, many students loiter here and there for lack of proper facilities in the common room. It is highly necessary to increase the number of indoor games instruments and the daily newspapers and magazines so that the students can spend their off time effectively.

So, it is our fervent request that you kindly take the necessary steps to increase the common room facilities and oblige thereby.
