Byzantium Bangla Summary (বাংলায়)

বাইজান্টিয়াম হলো কনস্টান্টিনোপল বা বর্তমান ইস্তাম্বুলের পূর্বের নাম। এক সময় এই শহর রোমান রাজত্বের পূর্ব রাজধানী ছিল। বাইজান্টিয়াম শিল্প, সংস্কৃতি ও জ্ঞানের এক আদর্শ শহর ছিল। কবি এই কবিতায় এই শহরকে স্বর্গের সাথে তুলনা করেছেন। তিনি আরো বলেন শহরটি কল্পনার চেয়েও কল্পনাতীত। শহরটি ছিল সকল যুগের সর্বকাল অতিক্রমকরী একটি শহর।

এছাড়া কবি এই কবিতায় তার স্বপ্নে দেখা একটি সোনালি পাখির কথাও বলেছেন। তিনি এটা মনে করিয়ে দেন যে, যখন মানুষ সকল খারাপ কাজ ছেড়ে দেবে এবং পরিশুদ্ধ হবে, তখন তারা এই পাখিতে পরিণত হবে, বা পাখির মতোই দেখতে হবে।

Byzantium is the former name of Constantinople or present-day Istanbul. The city was once the eastern capital of the Roman Empire. Byzantium was an ideal city of art, culture, and knowledge. The poet compares this city with heaven in this poem. He also said that the city is more unimaginable than imagination.

The city was a city that transcended all ages. Besides, the poet also talks about a golden bird seen in his dream in this poem. He reminds us that when people give up all bad deeds and become pure, they will turn into this bird, or look like a bird.
