Eve teasing refers to the harassment of women in public spaces. It is a heinous act of disturbing women. It is a kind of sexual harassment. Some of the most common types of eve teasing include catcalling, making bad or insulting comments, and physical harassment. Eve-teasing is a social curse. Women cannot move freely because of it. They feel insecure to go to schools, colleges, and workplaces. For this, many girls are compelled to stop their studies. They have to stay at home and are married off at an early age. They suffer psychologically. Sometimes, they become victims of acid throwing. Even many young girls commit suicide because of eve-teasing. Many factors contribute to eve-teasing, including cultural norms, gender inequality, and a lack of education. In some societies, men are taught to view women as objects and to treat them disrespectfully. Women are often blamed for the harassment they experience. To prevent eve-teasing, it is essential to raise awareness of the issue and take measures to address it. Education is one important way to tackle the problem. By teaching young people about gender equality and respect for women, we can help to change attitudes and reduce harassment. Every conscious guardian has to play a role based on their respective position. Stricter laws and enforcement can also help to deter the eve-teasers. We must work together to create a safer and more equal world.
