Write a summary of the poem “She Dwelt among the Untrodden Ways”.

“She Dwelt among the Untrodden Ways” (1798) by William Wordsworth (1770-1850) is a touching poem. It talks about a simple, quiet girl named Lucy. She lived far away from people, but her life was special and beautiful.

Lucy lived in a lonely place, near the springs of Dove. She was not famous or well-known. Only a few people knew her. Very few loved her or praised her.

The poet compares Lucy to a violet flower hidden by a mossy stone. She was beautiful but unnoticed. She was also like a bright star shining alone in the dark sky. Her beauty was simple and pure.

Lucy’s life was short, and few people noticed when she passed away. But her death made a big difference to the poet. He loved her deeply and felt great sadness when she was gone.

This poem shows how even a quiet and simple life can have great beauty. It also shows deep feelings of love and loss. William Wordsworth wrote this to honor Lucy, a person who was small in the world but big in his heart.
