How did Gulliver reach the country of the Lilliputians?

In “Gulliver’s Travels” (1726), Part 1, Chapter 1, we learn how Gulliver reaches Lilliput. He starts his journey on a ship named the Antelope. But his voyage does not go smoothly. He faces a great storm in the sea. After the ship sinks, Gulliver somehow saves his life and reaches an unknown land.

A New Sea Voyage: After some years on land, Gulliver joins a new sea voyage. This time, he works as a surgeon on a ship called the Antelope. The ship sails towards the East Indies. But the journey becomes dangerous. In the middle of the sea, a strong and violent storm hits the ship. The storm kills many sailors and breaks the ship. 

Shipwreck and Escape: When the storm worsens, Gulliver and five other men try to escape the ship. They use a small rowboat. But th

e sea waves are too strong. The boat turns over, and Gulliver loses the others. He swims alone for a long time in the rough sea. At last, he finds land. He is very tired but safe.

Reaching Lilliput: Gulliver comes to a strange land. He lies on the grass and falls asleep. When he wakes up, he cannot move. His hands, legs, and hair are tied to the ground. Soon, he sees tiny people climbing on his body. These little people are called Lilliputians. This is how Gulliver first meets them.

In summary, Gulliver reaches the land of Lilliput after a great storm and a shipwreck. He swims alone to the shore and sleeps there. He wakes up to find himself tied down by the Lilliputians. His journey to Lilliput begins with danger, fear, and great surprise.
