Affirmative to Negative ✪✪✪
Rule 1: বাক্যে Only বা alone ব্যাক্তি কে নির্দেশ করলে: বাক্যের শুরুতে None but বসে + বাকি অংশ।
Affirmative: Only they can do the work.
Negative: None, but they can do the work.
বস্তু কে নির্দেশ করলে: only এর পরিবর্তে nothing but বসে।
Affirmative: I like only denim jeans.
Negative: I like nothing but denim jeans.
বয়স বা সংখ্যার ক্ষেত্রে: only এর পরিবর্তে not more than বা not less than বসে।
Affirmative: He is only four.
Negative: He is not more than four.

Rule 2: Affirmative sentence এ must/have to/ has to থাকলে negative করার সময় এদের পরিবর্তে can not but/ can not help বসে। তবে can not help এর পরে যে verb থাকে তার সাথে ing যুক্ত করতে হয়। Had to এর পরিবর্তে Could not but/could not help বসে।
Affirmative: We must obey our parents.
Negative: We can not but obey our parents.
Affirmative: You must care for them.
Negative: You can not help caring for them.
Rule 3: Every কে Negative করতে হলে Every এর পরিবর্তে There is no বসে + every এর পরের শব্দটি বসে + but + প্রদত্ত sentence এর বাকী অংশ।

Affirmative: Everybody fears a liar.
Negative: There is nobody but hates a liar.
কিন্তু Every যুক্ত সেন্টেন্স এ Has verb থাকলে but এর পরিবর্তে without বসে।
Affirmative: Every rose has its thorn.
Negative: There is no rose without its thorn.
Rule 4: As soon as যুক্ত sentence কে Negative করতে হলে- As soon as এর জায়গায় no sooner had বসবে + প্রSubject + verb এর past participle form + বাকী অংশ + than + দ্বিতীয় বাক্য।
Affirmative: As soon as the boy saw the police, he ran away.
Negative: No sooner had the boy seen the police than he ran away.
Rule 5: Always যুক্ত Affirmative sentence কে Negative করতে হলে Always এর পরিবর্তে never বসে। Affirmative শব্দটির Negative রূপ বসাতে হয়।
Affirmative: He was always punctual.
Negative: He was never late.
Rule 6: Too…..to যুক্ত sentence কে Negative করতে হলে : Too এর জায়গায় so বসে + Too এর পরের adjective/adverb বসে + that বসে + পনুরায় subject বসে। + tense অনুযায়ী can not/could not + প্রদত্ত to এর পরের অংশ বসে।
Affirmative: He is too weak to walk.
Negative: He is so weak that he can not walk.
Rule 7: Affirmative sentence এ auxiliary verb থাকলে তার সাথে not বসবে এবং পরের শব্দটির বিপরীত শব্দ হবে।
Affirmative: He is a good boy.
Negative: He is not a bad boy.

Rule 8: কিছু শব্দ এবং তাদের বিপরীত শব্দ মনে রাখলেই হবে। এগুলোর জন্য বেশি বেশি নিয়ম মুখস্ত করে সব ভুলে যাওয়ার কোনো মানে হয় না। Many=Not a few, Much=Not a little.
Affirmative: I have many friends.
Negative: I have not a few friends.
Affirmative: He has much work to do.Negative: He has not a little work to do.
