The Sun Rising Quotations

“Busy old fool, unruly sun,”
The speaker is scolding the sun for disturbing him and his beloved early in the morning. Because they are enjoying their moment together.
“Love, all alike, no season knows nor clime,

Nor hours, days, months, which are the rags of time.”

True love is more powerful than the sun. True love does not depend on seasons, climate, months, days, or hours. True love is timeless. Lovers can love each other whenever they want.
“She's all states, and all princes, I,

Nothing else is.”

Here, the speaker is comparing his beloved to all the countries, and himself to all the princes. It proves their love is powerful. They don’t need anything else. Their love feels complete.
