কে টাইগার সৃষ্টি করেছেন: কবিতাটি শুরু হয় হিংস্র বাঘকে উদ্দেশ্য করে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের মধ্য দিয়ে। স্পীকার বাঘকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে কে তাকে সৃষ্টি করেছে, এই ভয়ংকর সৌন্দর্য কোন হাত বানিয়েছে। স্পীকার বাঘের আগুনঝরা চোখ দেখে বিষ্ময়ে অভিভূত হয় আর ভাবে কিভাবে এই চোখগুলোকে বানানো হয়েছে। স্পিকার ভাবতে থাকে, বাঘের সৃষ্টিকর্তার কি পাখা আছে কি না। বাঘের মত এমন ভয়ানক প্রাণী সৃষ্টির সাহস কারই বা থাকতে পারে।
সৃষ্টিকর্তার বড়াই: স্পীকার আবারও কল্পনা করে, যিনি এই বাঘকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন তিনি নিশ্চয়ই অনেক দক্ষ কারিগর। সে ভাবে কার হাতের ছোঁয়ায় বাঘের হৃদয় স্পন্দিত হয়। এখন স্পীকার চিন্তা করে, কোন জিনিস দিয়ে আসলে বাঘের মস্তিষ্ককে বানানো হয়েছে। যিনি বাঘের মত ভয়ংকর জীব সৃষ্টি করেছেন, না জানি তিনি কত ভয়ংকর! তারপর সে ভাবে এই প্রাণী সৃষ্টি শেষে এর সৃষ্টিকর্তার কেমন অনুভূতি হয়েছিল। তিনি কি তার সৃষ্টি দেখে হেসেছিলেন কিনা সেটাও স্পীকারকে ভাবিয়ে তোলে। সে এটাও ভাবে, এই একই সৃষ্টিকর্তা ল্যাম্ব সৃষ্টির সময়েও কি একইভাবে হেসেছিলেন কি না। এভাবে আরেকবার বাঘের সৃষ্টিকর্তা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করার মাধ্যমে কবিতাটি শেষ হয়।
